Dear Parents,
What a quick month September was! As you can see from the calendar the children have a few holidays this month. We try to take some of our Conference Days when they will coincide with the public school holidays. (eg October 9th). This is not always the case.
October is the month of the Rosary and so we encourage you to pray at least a part of the Rosary each night with your children. We will be doing the same in school. Mary’s intercession on our behalf is very powerful.
I hope you enjoyed meeting your child/children’s teacher(s) on
September 23rd. Progress reports will come home on the 17th. If there is a need to set up appointments with teachers, please either send a note to the teacher or call the office and the teacher will return your call.
A very huge THANK YOU from me to you for your generous support of the Dominican Sisters festival. You will be remembered in a special Mass at our Motherhouse on November 2nd.
Please look in the Directory for test dates so that you are not going on vacation during these important times for the children. It is easier for children to take tests with the whole class than individually. Please schedule appointments as much as feasible for after school. I realize that this is not always possible due to many different circumstances. Know when your child is absent from school, tests are still to be taken on the scheduled day. If your child will be absent for a while, please call and come and pick up homework and books.
Activities begin on October 6th, so please be vigilant in picking up the children on time.
Have a great month! God’s continued blessings on you and your family.
Lovingly in Mary, Our Blessed Mother,
Sr. Barbara, OP
