RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

The object of the religious education program is instruction and formation. We hope to deepen moral values and instruction is based on the teachings of the Catholic Church. The sacraments unite all students. Our parents are integrally involved in sacramental preparation and the parish of Saint John supports our children in their prayers.

DISCIPLINE

We attempt to develop Christians who are committed to observance of just rules and regulations. This is reflected in our discipline. We expect students to comply with directives, be respectful, courteous, attentive to teachers, staff and school volunteers. Our students must show consideration for their classmates and refrain from anything that would cause injury or prevent them from learning.

TRANSPORTATION

School bus service is provided through the public school district of the student. Bus applications are available at the Main Office of St. John School for all districts.

PARENT COMMUNICATION

At the beginning of each school year, there is a meeting of all parents where they meet their child's new teacher for the year. Teacher conferences are held at first report card time, and are encouraged when needed.  Monitoring of homework assignments and test results is routine. A monthly letter and school calendar with scheduled activities is distributed as well as posting on this website.  There is a relay system of class parents for emergency situations.

THE PARENTS' GUILD

This group of dedicated parents works for the good of our students. The Parents' Guild provides fund raisers that enable the school to purchase educational programs as well as do capital improvements. Meetings are held on the first Monday of each month.
