Sister Barbara Werner - Principal

 A Few Words....(please read) 2/11/09

Sister Barbara Werner, OP, a Dominican Sister of Blauvelt, NY, has been Principal of St. John’s in Goshen for the past ten years. Sister earned a Masters in Educational Administration from Teachers College, Columbia University as well as a Masters in Mathematics from Manhattan College. Sr. Barbara believes in the mission of Catholic Schools and of Catholic education.

During her administration in Goshen, technology has been upgraded and advanced, Spanish is now taught in all the grades and achievements in the students’ marks in New York State testing and standardized testing have improved. Sister enjoys coming to minister in St. John School every day and applauds the families who send their children here.

Sister is very proud of her capable staff, wishing all schools had as capable teachers as St. John School has.

Sr. Barbara recently reached a milestone in 2007 by celebrating her Golden Jubilee as a Dominican Sister.
