Dear Parents,

 

We wish everyone a Blessed and peace filled New Year. May 2009 bring many graces and blessings to you and your family.

 Thank you so much for re-registering your child/children with us here at St. John’s. During these hard economic times, we are cognizant that many of you are also struggling with decisions and knowing that you value a Catholic education makes ministering here at St. John’s a true joy. The teachers and I look forward to having some siblings in first grade next year. We will hold registration for all grades on  February 11 and 12.

 Next week we will celebrate Catholic Schools Week across the nation and here at St. John’s. Please join us for our Open House on Monday, January 26th from 9-10 and on Wednesday for our Academic Fair either from 9-2PM or in the evening from 6-7PM. We look forward to seeing you then. 

Intramurals for Grades 3 and 4 will begin on the Wednesdays of February after school. Grades 4 through 8 will have classes on Thursdays in February given by a counselor from the diocese (ADAPP). The topic will be “Bullying.” 

Hopefully we will enjoy a long President’s Day weekend. Enjoy the time! Lent begins at the end of the month with Mass on Ash Wednesday, February 25th.

Shortly after that, the first week in March, we continue with Grade 4 and Grade 8 New York State Math Exams.
